Spend a lovely spring day on the farm learning to create with the beautiful flowers available to us in May.

Our morning session will begin with a tour out to the garden to collect materials to add to the already harvested bounty in the studio. Katie will demonstrate her classic centerpiece technique, with a focus on care and handling of the unique flowers chosen for our designs. Students will then design their centerpiece in a hand-thrown vessel, made by local potter Pine Row Studio in Mount Vernon.

Upon completing our centerpieces, we will design a tablescape on the farm, using candles and other ephemera, which will be professionally photographed and can be used in student’s portfolios.
